Vasculitis

Vasculitis

Vasculitis is a general term for several conditions that cause inflammation in your blood vessels. It is also called arthritis. It can weaken, stretch, enlarge, or narrow your blood vessels. They can be completely closed.

Vasculitis can affect people of any age. Some forms affect the blood vessels that go to or supply specific organs such as your skin, eyes, or brain. Other types may involve multiple organ systems simultaneously. Some of these common forms may be mild and do not require treatment. Others can be serious.
