Osteoarthritis

Osteoarthritis is the most common type of arthritis. The changes in osteoarthritis usually occur slowly over many years, although there are occasional exceptions. Inflammation and trauma to the joint cause bone changes, tendon, and ligament deterioration, and cartilage breakdown, causing joint pain, swelling, and deformity.
